Certified Title Insurance (CTIS) Designation Program
About the Program
The C.T.I.S. or Certified Title Insurance Specialist designation is a professional designation awarded by the Land Title Association of Colorado (LTAC) to those individuals who have completed classes, exams and other requirements and display a thorough understanding of title insurance and closing information.
The C.T.I.S. designation was developed by LTAC with the following objectives in mind:
- Recognize qualified persons with the designation of C.T.I.S.,
- Promote and maintain higher standards in the title insurance profession,
- Promote greater pride in the title insurance profession,
- Promote better relations between the title insurance and real estate industries, and
- Establish education standards for the title insurance profession.
Those who have been in the business for some time and don’t have the time or feel the need to take the many classes available through the LTAC Spring and Fall schools may want to take advantage of another opportunity to attain the C.T.I.S. designation. It is designed for the title insurance “veteran”.
Individuals who feel that they may qualify for the Veteran Designation should submit an application to the LTAC Board of Directors.
