Sam Edelson, Co-Founder TitleCat
Sam Edelson is an entrepreneur and investor who left the world of finance in 2019 to build companies. In 2025 Sam co-founded TitleCat, a technology platform that automates and accelerates the title search and examination process for title insurers and agents. TitleCat uses AI to replicate the repetitive components of title search and exam, allowing title companies to significantly increase productivity while focusing human examiners on the most complex aspects of the transaction. In addition to TitleCat, Sam was an early investor in Exact Title. While no longer involved in the day-to-day management of the business, his experience working with Exact provided the operational foundation and industry insight that led to the creation of TitleCat.
Earlier in his career, Sam worked at Cyrus Capital Partners, a New York-based investment firm, and Bain Capital, a Boston-based investment firm, where he focused on credit and structured credit investments.
Sam currently serves on the board of FirstSun Capital Bancorp (NASDAQ: FSUN), the holding company for Sunflower Bank, with approximately $20 billion in assets. He graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he concentrated in finance and real estate.
