OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA…it’s time for an Outlook for Real Estate and the Economy.

The years 2019-2023 have been very challenging years for many Title Agents across the country.  It did not matter what size your practice was, or what you focused on there were major disruptions in the industry which affected us all, and has shaped the way we conduct business in the title industry.   This presentation will follow the events which affected my firm and how we over came the odds to survive.  In 2019 the headquarters of Brady & Kosofsky, was gutted by a devastating fire which destroyed the IT infrastructure and office building.  In 2020, the COVID Crisis forced Brady & Kosofsky, to rethink the closing procedure, and lead to the Drafting of the Emergency Statute and RON Statute.  In 2022,  Brady & Kosofsky was the victim of a Seller impersonation fraud scheme.   It could have been the end of the road for the firm in each of the above situations. I will discuss how we addressed these situations and what the common thread was in overcoming the challenges presented by each disaster.                          Speaker: Jamie Kosofsky, BK Law
