Please note: Designation as a Certified Title Insurance Specialist or a Certified Escrow Settlement Specialist solely demonstrates that a land title professional has met the particular standards and criteria of the programs developed by the Land Title Association of Colorado for these certifications. Neither the Land Title Association of Colorado, nor the designation itself, guarantees or warrants anything beyond a designee's ability to meet such standards or criteria. The Land Title Association of Colorado makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees as to, and assumes no responsibility for the proper performance of land title services, including but not limited to the transfer of real property, insuring title to real property, or related closing and settlement services provided by designees.

The industry designation is awarded by the Land Title Association of Colorado (LTAC) to professionals who have completed classes, exams, and other requirements and display a thorough understanding of title insurance and closing processes. An applicant must be employed by a member in good standing with LTAC and have a valid Colorado Producer’s license. There are two programs available.
Continuing Your Education
Once a candidate has received their Designation, they must have 8 hours of continuing education every 2 years. CE credit can be earned by taking LTAC classes, being on the LTAC education committee, teaching our classes, attending education sessions at convention or being on the LTAC Board of Directors. Candidates must maintain their Colorado Producer’s license and be employed by a member in good standing in order to maintain the designation.
